I guess as low as you can go without rubbing. Does weight transfer ever become an issue due to ride height?

Ps I got some brand new two inch drop coils for a 2wd for sale

i heard the clearance issue is the front diff with the trucks oil pan.. Correct?

the track bar will hit the diff before the oil pan, theres a few inches between the oil pan and axle, u just have to modify the bump stops.

Lowered mine 4". Took off leveling kit, one coil off the front and removed the lift blocks on the rear. Took off long homemade pulling bars and added caltracks. Rides like its on rails. I want to go lower just have'nt figured out how yet.

I might be doing this once my truck is in need of some new rubber.

Does the driveshaft bottom out into the transfer case?

I had to shorten the driveshaft. I don't remember offhand, 2 or 3 inches.

I took a coil out of the front and cut 1" off the rear blocks. Looks stock but just a little lower at this point.

Correct...also, for anyone with a Thuren trackbar, don't lower it...at least not for a DD. Tried going 1.5" lower and the big joint on the trackbar would hit the diff on any bump.
