We have an 08 F-550 at work with a little less than 40k miles on it. Recently it has been acting up. Sometimes after you drive it a little, you can shut it off and at times it wont start back. You can crank and crank and it wont start. But then normally, if you turn the key all the way back to the off position, and hit it again it will fire right up.
At times when you are cranking it will start to hit, and then go dead again. It really seems like a fueling issue to me. It hasnt thrown a CEL, but ford hooked their computer to it when it was acting up and cranked it. They couldnt really find anything. Somehow they determined to replaced the CPS, however that made no difference. Any ideas on what it could be? It never dies, just doesent want to start at times. Fuel filters were also replaced recently. Thanks for any help!
