Hey everyone. Got a project coming up that will be involving a 7.3 idi motor and an 84 Bronco. I was wondering who, other than banks, is offering a turbo kit for that motor?
Thanks,
Raymond

ATS offers one. Banks no longer offers anything for older diesels anymore. Communists!

I know a guy that did such a conversion, cleanly. I can get you in contact with him if you'll like.

::Update::
Bronco has been set on the back burner for the time being as we are trying to get all of the body parts together.
We are currently taking a 1986 F-350 with a 6.9 that locked up and converting it to a 7.3 IDI motor. Making this a turbo motor is a thought being pushed around. We shall only see.
Cheers,
Ray

If you do the bronco deal...go to thedieselstop.com and look for a guy named mel...he did a 7.3 into a bronco and put side pipes on it. way cool.

completly skip STD, i mean TDS, and go to oilburners.net
the REAL IDI guys are there. Including myself.
Mel did a great job on his bronco, and everything else i might add. He's a great guy, im tryin to meet up with him in the comming weeks here for some parts swapping.
Have fun on the 7.3 install btw! And the Bronco project. :rockwoot:

::Update::
Still tearing apart the Bronco. Slow process here at the salvage yard.
The 7.3 transplant in to the 6.9 spot has been set aside. A 2003 F-350 took the place of that prject. We had to do a cab cut and new doors with paint on it and that was it. Runs like a champ for being the last of the 7.3 Turbo generation.
Haven't made it to the oilburner sit to find mel and the rest of the guys. Once I have a definite on how the bronco will go, I will resume the research. I just hope it stays on the diesel track.
Thanks guys,
Ray
