anybody got any tips for getting some extra horses out of a deutz inline 6

I used to work for an engineering company running a drill rig (Detrich D50) that had dueutz turboed motor on it. It was really weak so one day i looked at the pump and it was a bosch A pump. I just loosend the locknut and turned the fuel screw all the way in until the locknut threads were flush. Holy **** what a differance. It had a 3ft straight stack coming off of the turbo and the entire thing would glow with flame coming out the stack a good foot. We abused the crap out of that thing. In fact it had more power than our bigger D120 rig that had the john Deere engine on it. It is still running to this day. It sure changed my opinion of an air cooled motor.LOL


edit. it looks like they still offer the 5cyl duetz.

i got a d 100 06 duetz i did the same thing mine is na though still put a flame out the stack gotta watch it though dont want to have a aluminum puddle
