We turned the drums on a lathe just enough for the rims to seat up right on the 2000 2500 that we converted.

Holy hell of a lot of work. Is that the only option????? Are single wheel drums larger than Dually drums????

Unless you feel like doing a disc brake conversion $$$ thats the only option I can think of is to machine down the cooling fins. Put truck on jack stands and put in gear then start grinding.

Or buy one of the conversion kits that has the spacers, but the kit we got years ago had 5/8 studs instead of 9/16 so we bought trailer rims and got by, they were hard to balance.
