you won't regret it. I had a 2001 F 250 with a Powerstroke in it, and I am SO happy I went with a Common Rail.

I am well ahead of the performance of the Ford, while only owning the damn thing for 6 months, when I owned the Ford for 2 years!

Same Guy... wasn't gonna touch a 6.4l so i had no other choice... the cab's a lil small for my taste but the mileage sure kicks ass...

You guys are new so I'll warn you. Dont trust the over head. Mine has been as far off as 6MPG. It said 22 and hand calculated was 16.

yeah, the overhead is definately wrong, use hand calculated if you want to be anywhere close

Cummins are odd in the mileage department. Usually they're in the upper 17/18/19 area. even into the low 20's. But I've seen guys that can't seem to get better then 13 on a regular basis. And others get 26 (2wd). Biggest thing that ever affected my mileage was the tires

that was hand calc'd, the overhead was .6 high, and on the 5k miles since then it's ranged from .5 - 1.2 off.

Me too got a 07 qc 4x4 5.9 but a auto,
the furd blew up 2 days before a trip and I had to pull the trailer. So I got the dodge and the furd will sit in the driveway for a year while furd and I go to court. And they were saying noting is wrong with it. lol

Oh yeah held 40mph going over I-80 if I manually went to second I could hold 50mph, 5 over the 45mph the ford would do with blown head gaskets and bad injectors. (not too impressed there) and I got about 7mpg. vx the 5-6mpg the ford was getting. But I left on the trip with 19miles so it should only get better.
Now iam getting 16mpg empty on freeway and highways going 70-80mph. 1700 miles on it now.

I still like the ford better, but will not deal with them again after the last truck.
