Edge Hot Juice shuts off LLY truck

I bought my sister an Edge Hot Juice w/Attitude for her Dmax, it worked great for a year or so then started making the truck shut off at random times and while driving. The best Edge will do is give her 30% or something off a new one since hers "has epoxied internals and can't be repaired". Has anyone run into this problem?

i had the same problem with mine it was always when it was raining i called edge and it had something to do with the wipers being on i sent the edge in they fixed it for free i would try to call them and telll them about your problem

Seems to be a common problem with edge boxes on the DMax. More so on LBZ's but you hear about it often on others too. I'd save your $$ and go with something else.

We already talked with Edge and the only offer a percentage off the retail price of a new unit, meaning still like $600-700.

It's a little too late to save my money and go with something else, ****. Oh well the Edge I had on my LB7 worked very well, but I guess my luck ran out on this one.

I had one on an lb7 that went bad and the truck wouldnt start. Unplugged it from the harness and plugged factory harness back in still wouldnt start, unplugged MAF sensor and plugged it back in and started right up. Hit the trash that night.

had an ez that did the same thing on my cummins. edge sold me a new juice with attitude for 500 dollars shipped. mine also was an older epoxied unit.

I had the edge on my truck when I bought it. Mine would shut the truck off at highway speeds than once I got to the side of the road it would start back up I called edge and talked to their tech support they sent me a new unit and I sent them the old one back then sOld the new one on eBay

Ya, they said they don't use this style anymore so they will not warranty it. Meh, I'll figure something out.

I had the same problem. It ended up being something with the injector harness. I personally didnt like the edge made the truck run like crap and shift really hard. Got efi live installed and truck runs smooth and just fine now.

Harness problem is common on an LLY

Yeah sell that POS edge and get efi live. I had the injector harness go bad on my LLY but I ice picked the sob and its all good now

I would cut your losses if they don't want to deal with you and get a tuned ECM. You can get one for half the price of the edge

I don't really want to sell it and it not work for someone else, if someone wants to buy it as is send me a PM, otherwise it looks like I just have a paper weight. Edge with Attitude/Monitor, not sure if it's got the Hot unlock or not.

Would save up and get a different programmer had an edge and it gave me nothing but problems

I would but it's not my truck, it was a Christmas gift for my sister. It's just sitting in a box at my house collecting dust... maybe I'll call Edge today and they'll be in the holiday spirit.

I would say ditch it and get tunes from Rob if they won't help you. and X2 on that ice pick on the LLYs
