I make a couple of parts for a local food processing plant that are made out of 17-4 stainless. There is anywhere from 45" to 50" left over out of each bar. It's nice material. Polishes well, machines fairly easily, and has good strength. I have about 30 or so pieces of 3/4" and a bit more than that in 7/8". It has very little scrap value because it's magnetic. If anyone needs a piece or 2 or more, and would be willing to pay for shipping, you can have as many as you want(or as few). I can also cut and thread ends for you if you aren't in a big hurry.

Why is there so much waste?

Studs I make are 49 1/4" long and materialcomes in random approx 12ft lengths. So you make 2 out of a bar and are a few inches short for the 3rd piece.

I don't want to hog the material, so maybe you should just tell me what the maximum I can take is? Would ten pcs of each be ok?
