I guess this is my first post on this forum, been around for a while though. Going to my first pull soon. truck is a 03 F-350 DRW auto 4.10 gears 285/75/16 toyo A/T tires(6 six of them), 375-400 RWHP.

I have been reading the pulling posts here for a while. I am figuring starting in second low, shifting to 3rd, Maybe 4th if it feels like the power is there.

My question is starting off. Is it better to get it rolling then hammer it, or build 10-15lbs of boost and come out spinning the tires? or don't build any boost, but hammer is right out of the hole?

build some boost and nuke the tires off from the start, keep'n the rpm's up.

Yep, unless the track is REALLY loose at the beginning, build about as much boost as you can, and let her fly. Dont get too hasty with shifting gears though, or you will fall under the charger, and your pull will be over. My guess is 3rd will be the highest you will be able to run, but I am not sure how the 5r110 is geared
