Glow plugs not working

Its an 05, the light on the dash only stays on for half a second. So i'm guessing the glow plugs aren't working.

Is it a liberty or a Grand cherokee. And whats the actual problem your having? If its a gc my wifes don't stay on very long at all. We also just had 2 replaced and before that the check engine light would come on and the glow plug light came back on after it started some times.

Its a liberty. How long did your glow plug light stay on? Ours only stays on for 3-5 seconds max and it has to turn over for a while before it starts

The longest the light has stayed on in my ol'ladys is about 2 seconds. normally stays on around half a second.

Edit: it's an 05 liberty as well.

Huh, they must be working fine then. I'm just used to my 7.3 staying on for 40-50 seconds.

mine hardly come on, but I did replace my battery and that made a huge difference in how fast it spun the motor over, spinning faster made it start a LOT faster. even tho its a red top, does not mean it will live forever, replace that factory battery before ya get stranded.
