? about EFI Tune for 07 5.9

I have a stock 07 5.9 with a smarty Jr on it and a 4" exhaust with no cat and muffler. Trying to get the most in town MPGs out of the truck. Can an EFI tune hep with this ? Thanks Pete

I'm sure one of the many tuners will tell you better but, I'd say yes. A tune can be built with mileage in mind. I think it comes at a little bit of a sacrifice in performance though. It's hard to have both. A lot will have to do with components on your truck too...i,e. tires/inflation, clean filters...etc.

It's just sooo hard to get good mpg's with town driving... So you don't do any highway traveling at all??

You can get improved mpg in town...but driving style plays a MAJOR role in getting it dialed in.

If your a "jackrabbit" then it's near impossible...but if you do or can learn to drive with a soft foot, then getting better mpg in town can be achieved.

Question...what are you getting now, and what is your goal?
