Everyone seems to say theres a different way to dyno an automatic. Whats your opinion?

I use tow/haul, get to 75mph, slightly load with the brakes and floor it til the speedometer hits 120mph. Am I right? Hell i've only been to 1 dyno event, give me some pointers.

Depends on the truck, if it's got a lock up switch or not, big charger, but always dyno in OD. Cause you want to get it going as soon as possible but with out having it down shift. kindof difficult with a big single unless u have a 4th gear lock out switch.

what the hell?

I only called you out cause you claimed you can run a TST on 9/9 on a stock turbo and still have useable power. :umno:

Yes I can run 9x9 without defueling. And no I didn't baby it everywhere, what would be the point of that. I'm not here to start trouble and I would not lie about what i have done, there is no point to that. I ran the TST/EZ for the better part of a year with the stock charger before adding the twin's. So I know what I am talking about. NO HEAR SAY HERE.

My truck has a lock up switch and a switch that forces overdrive. So when I dyno I run the truck up to 65mph have the converter locked and od engaged then mat the throttle, trying to get out of it before I get the rev limiter which takes about 3-4 seconds then bingo, you get a big azz number.:rockwoot:

Yeah 65mph is a good ballpark of when the runs usually start

If somebody doesn't get somebodies truck running right.....there isn't a need for going to a dyno.:hehe:
