Possibly looking to install a another cummins in a tractor. I am thinking about using this one more for work rather than pulling so I am looking for a more constant rpm pump.

I have a p pump 12v installed in a Super M Farmall and it works really well for pulling. After trying it out it seems that constant rpm work, the p pump wouldn't hold constant rpms real well.

Would a VE pump from an early dodge be any better for constant rpms or would I just need an ag pump of some sort?

I think you are looking for a pump with an ag gov.

Dodge or other automotive VE pumps are normally a good farm tractor pump, they have a govenor that is considerably more responsive than a automotive inline.

So a VE pump would work fine for a tractor application. Just asking Because I have no experience with the VE.
