I know there has been a lot of threads, but I want to hear from Airdog. I need to replace my leaking filters and want something other than the ones that come on it.

I want filters that are the same brand, I've found these part#'s.

Baldwin BF1275.......... F/W separator.

Baldwin BF7634........ 5 micron absolute filter

Cat 1R-0759
Cat 1R-0751
Cat 1R-0749

Which cat filters are what and which ones fit? and what do you guys recommend?

Thanks

The Cat 1R-0751 is the one i've seen many people use. You just need to remove the flow dividers under the fuel filter. i've also used NAPA 3420 and 3616 filters with good luck.

The ones that come on the new ones are Baldwin.

Cool, I'll price the brands and see what I can get them at. What other Cat part number are people using for the other filter?

Thanks

I'm looking for the same info for the water separator...

You can get better filtration than the cat 1r0751 from Cat... it is the UHE 364-5287

My AD-II-165 will be here Friday

So has anyone found a good cheap source for the cat filter 364-5287?

my local Cat dealer wants $32 + shipping...said the only place his computer shows a couple are in Illinois...

If they are that pricey and hard to come by then I may just stick with the Cat 1R0751...

If anyone comes up with a cat # for the water separator please chime in...

Currently I'm planning on switching it to the Donaldson P550550

The 1r0751's are 2 micron anyways, not worth the extra filtration of the UHE filter unless you get a BUNCH of crap in your tank.

yoy may also need to cut a little piece of the corner off of the bracket on that wraps around too. i had to becuase the filter was hitting it just a touch. also, cat filters are going to be about the best filtration you can get and i only pay 10 bucks apiece for mine, but i havent yet been able to find a cat water seperator to work.
