AirDog II 165 regulator question?

Posting this here because I know I won't be able to reach anyone in the office until Wednesday. I am trying to fine tune my newly rebuilt 12V engine with a benched ppump. I'm waiting on some parts I ordered to install a FP gauge. I read in the owners manual for my AirDog II 165GPH that you can get the pump in 30-35psi range by backing the regulator all the way down and then turning it clockwise 7 full turns. Mine will only go in 5.5 turns? Truck definately runs better, but I find this odd that it won't go as far as the directions state? :what:

Those settings are not accurate. Set it to where you feel it runs best and reset when you get your gauge installed.

Its set all the way in 5.5 turns Dan.....truck definately picked up considerably.

I'm hoping to get my FP gauge installed by the end of the week. Hopefully the dual feed line will help a little as well.
