No duramax is 100% safe at 600hp. But with a 68mm cheetah(or Danville charger), a set of 40-60% over nozzles to get the pulse width down, and good efi live tuning you should be able to make that kind of power without too much of a risk of blowing it up. Of course you're also going to need a built trans, lift pump, egr delete, and some other little supporting mods as well.

Most people find that they are very happy around the 500-550 mark on stock turbo, injectors and cp3 though. Lift pump, exhaust and efi live tuning will put you over 500 for a lot less $$$$. I would build the trans and try it out at this power level before you go ahead and swap chargers and injectors and realize it wasn't worth the extra $5000

^^ Well since his sig says a 2008 6.7 litre i would assume its a cummins not a duramax so probably not the best advice lol

Except it is in the LMM GM Duramax section. So I answered based on that.

And I dont know a ton about Cummminggss but I would think 50% injectors, a big CP3 and an S467 would already have him at or above the 600 mark if the tuning is good.

Lol I am not confused its for a buddy thanks for the input. I talked my buddy down from his 800 HP goal. He laughed when I told him for a good build would cost around 20 thousand. He's looking to spend 10-12000.

Stock/S4 twins, built trans, and supporting mods will get that goal easily.
