I have worked on Farm/Construction equipment pretty much since 2004 but never owned one personally. So I asked my dad to sell me one of the tractors thaty we have had for many years (that ran). His response was none are for sale but you can have this one I bought it for parts. So I got it loaded up and brought it home time now to get it running and maybe put a turbo on it :evil:evil

We had a David brown loader tractor on the dairy farm when I was young it was the first tractor I drove, it was a wore out pos my grandfather sold it to a local guy and he restored it. Its awesome to see an old tractor restored back to it show room condition

I had a 880 gas David Brown. We had a man find out we did restorations on old tractors and he gave it to us because he couldn't get it to run right. Long story short we dug around and it needed a distributor cap. After searching everywhere we rode to a old tractor shop in town and they had a brand new one on the shelf. I had to of been from the 70's but it fixed the old tractor right up. We ended up selling it because the parts for gas DB's are so hard to come by. That was by far the strongest tractor around 45hp I have ever been on.

Not super rare here. Gas fewer between than diesels but they are there. Local used tractor place has an entire semi trailer of dismantled david browns I believe.
