vibration while engine braking

so on my lbz, whenever I rev a gear out then let off and let the truck engine brake, in the higher RPM coming down i get this weird vibrating/clunking feeling going on. It doesnt feel trans or motor related but when i lightly feather the brake pedal I can sort of feel it in the pedal... rear driveshaft ujoints feel tight, fronts are ok, the input shaft on the Tcase seems to have a little play (idk what is normal)

any ideas?

I know this sounds odd but is the trans dipstick contacting the fire wall ? mine was and I was convinced for the longest time my converter was on it's way out the sound was so bad.

Bump anyone??? The noise really only occurs around 2000rpm
