I searched the forum, nothing pulled up. Sorry if this is a re-post!

I just bought a 07.5 with a spun rod bearing. 230k miles, clean title truck. Orig owner wanted to play one day an bought a 4" exhaust, s&b intake an a Ppe hot + 2 race et. Needless to say it didn't last long. So long story short I got it, we're fixing to start a motor swap. I bought a LMM motor from a 2010, harness and all. I'm just looking for insight and comments of people that's done it before.

*I know that we will have to raise the cab to pull the motor, and I'll have to use my orig transmission wiring harness.

Any other info or time saving trucks let me know. We're starting on it on a week or so.

Thanks, Jameson

You don't really have to pull the cab I don't think. At the most only the front clip

I was told that the turbo hits the firewall if you don't pull the cab at least 6"? It would be easier not to pull it, if that's the case.

Started on the truck today, looks like if I take the oil pump an the pan off I can get it out without messing with the cab. Hopefully it goes as planned!

Did not have to pull the cab. Just take starter off, oil pump an bottom oil pan.
