88' IDI Fuel Adjustment

Buddy of mine had a new Injection pump put on his old Ford Diesel. Now the thing smokes like crazy.....I think it has to much fuel?? How do you back the fuel down on this truck?

If the pump was out of time a little, would it cause it to smoke with normal unloaded driving?

Maybe, but I wouldn't think it would create a bunch of black smoke. You didn't say it was black, I was just assuming.

Yes sorry black smoke. The guy hates the way it is "Black" smoking.
