we have a 93' JD 8970 got about 9,000 hours on it and the original radio finally decided to act up and seems like it needs replaced now. We've called the local JD store and they can't even get an OEM radio anymore for 70 series.

My dad only wants OEM because its "plug and play and it worked for 9,000 hours"

anyone got an idea? We've got about 1,000 acres for the tractor to cover here once planting season can finally start.

Cant help on the OEM style, however my dad would be the same way. I bought a cheapie off Ebay for under $20 for our tractor at work and it is great, I have zero complaints. Good luck with your search.

Farmradiosupply.com, just picked up a pioneer unit and pig tail. Plugged into the factory cab harness and the aftermarket radio. Installed it in a 09' 8330 Deere. Plus it has BT and all the other features. Cost was around 175, but for plug in play and all the other options, I'm not complaining. Works great also!
