I have an 01' duramax and i'm worried about the injectors. I've been talking to a couple of people and they're saying that they only got 20,000 miles out of a set of injectors. so let me know if you have problems with your duramax and maybe some companies that sell bigger injectors. thanks:ft:

you won't need bigger injectors for a long time, you can get lots of power out of the stock set. Just get dual CP3's and you will have plenty of fuel.

the bigger injectors won't help the longevity problem. the "bigger" part is only the nozzle.

No

Different heads and FICM. There is more to it than that but those are the major road blocks. Basicly you have to swap the whole topend do it along with the electornics.

01-early 04's are lb7's which had the injector problems. my truck had one set of injectors at 103k and it now has 150k w/ no problems. my dad and uncle both have 02 chevy's w/ the lb7 and they have over 200k between the 2 trucks and both have the original injectors in the trucks.

yea, you will know when you have injector problems. it will probably come as a crankcase full of diesel(cracked injector body), that's the way mine did. there's trucks out there that have never had any problems, then there's those guys that cant catch a break.
