We decided to try the new Banks SuperScoop and their RamAir CAI on Wendy, our 2006 GMC Duramax.

The Bank's kit is very complete and has good instructions. Parts are well-made. But the problem is that it does not truly seal the air into a "Ram Air" intake, just a Cold Air Induction. This is so you don't suck water into the engine. SO THIS MODIFICATION IS FOR RACING ONLY and you should remove the steel strip in wet conditions.

So here is what I did to seal the Bank's system, and also some other comments. It's not instructions, since it comes with good instructions:

Nice ! Lets see how it performs. I may be one who would rip it off with a errant curb! Or Goose crossing the road

u think u could make it for road use also, if u were to get a air filter sock and put it over the air filter box then slide the scoop up onto it, it would stop debree and water from entering into the ait box, i did the same thing on my quad and it worked good, i am planing on getting a super scoop so i try it and let u know how it worked for me

Well, we took it to the track, and dropped from 12.85 @ 103 to 12.65 @ 105.

So it acted like 40rwhp behaves at the track in a 6800lb truck.

that's pretty nifty...in the other thread I was wondering why you didn't pull the headlight. I just couldn't see the scoop down there.
