So who has what it takes to be a NHRDA record holder? 2008 is the year to set the bar for both Pro Street and Super Street. We will follow the NHRA guidelines for setting a record.

************************************************** *********
To be considered as a record you must have 2 passes within 1% of each other in the same event. If you do not have 2 passes within 1% the faster time can be used to backup the slower time. (Example: If you have a 10.40 and a 11.10, the 10.40 will be used to make the 11.10 the record.) If a record is set and then beat in the same event, only the driver with the record at the end of the event will be recognized.

************************************************** **********

So if you think you have what it takes, I look forward to seeing you at one of the following events to prove your stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yea thats pretty stupid. if you run a 11.0 and then a 10.60 the 10.60 should be the record. thats how NHRA does it allong with IHRA

are you sure ? I think the 1% rule is NHRA and IHRA so if you ran a 10.60 you need atleast a 10.706 to back it up. 10.6 * 1% = 10.706

could be wrong but that is the way I read it in the rulebook.

1% is very small about a tenth of a second, i really feel that 2-3% should be the rule for diesels, we are far from being as consistant as there gasers from NHRA and IHRA, as they have electronic shocks, tranny's and everything else they need to be with in one one hundredth of a second. We as diesel racers DO NOT have the technology to be that consistent, AND we have big tration issues on the line---too much wieght up front. i think we should change the percentile. just a weather change has netted me a 3 tenth loss in the quarter before. we need to thing about this.

So we want to resist changing safety rules because everyone thinks NHRA standards are fine....but we want to change the way records are made because our trucks are different ?
You can't have your cake and eat it too.

If we use NHRA rules...we use ALL of them.

I hope we all see some falling records this year. With the way this whole thing is exploding...I feel an awesome year coming on.

understand how the process works. If you run a 10.02 and a 10.20 and they both are records the 10.20 would be the record. The 1% is the standard

If records were easy, then everyone would have them... instead of just claiming they do. :hehe:

Looks great, Chris! Keep your pens ready, it'll be a year to watch the records hang and fall from week to week. :rockwoot:

records can span a big area. I'm all for having a scale for draggers like the sledder do. Records can be made in every weight class. In stead of pro, QD and ET there could be 4500lbs, 5500lbs, 6600lbs and 8000lbs and up classes.

It's easy for you light weight guys to bullet down the track but, it's time to show respect for the sherman tanks too :blahblah1: :what:
