do the lb7 front pipes come stock with a cat or without a cat i was told thatthey are identicle to the lly front pipe except for the so said lack of cat.:confused:

They dont have cats but as for identicle I dont know.

You can use the stock LB7 front pipe to replace the LLY pipe with the converter. Without the converter you will get "soft codes" that do not set the check engine light because there will be more flow past the EGR than what it wants to see. Those can be turned off with EFI Live or by using a fooler like a Fingers Stick.

i have my EGR unplugged so will the codes still happen? just fyi my truck threw no codes when i unplugged it

They with(Cali 02-up,Northeast 03-up) & without Fed emissions

some trucks will not throw the code for some reason. from my experiences. If you are running certain programmers that have the ability to update Via email then you can get them to over ride your code if you need to
