I need some help a 04 6.0 came towed in crank no start. no codes. Data shows no crank cam sync. tested both sensors seem ok.tryed to replace both with known good ones we had in stock no help. Any one been here before i know there is a pin in the front of the cam to refrence cam sync and the crank is missing two teeth which the pin passes and should be in sync. iam going to try to stick a scope in the cam sensor hole to see if can see the pin on the cam while turning over the engine.$.02

i put the scope in the hole and had a guy turn over the engine i didnt see the pin in the front of the cam, i saw an indent i have never heard or seen this pin falling out. I am going to pull out the engine and pull off the oil pan and see what i can see. thanks

You mean: "Out comes the engine".:bang

You can only pull the cam out from the back of the engine block. (Not sure if there would be enough room by dropping the tranny...)

It's a real b*tch trying to rebuild one on the stand too....since the engine stand mounts on the back of the block too. (Makes it hard to install the cam, and HPOP, etc)
