1986 turbo diesel ford ranger

im looking at a 1986 turbo diesel ford ranger
does anbody have any info, fuel milage or what they are worth?

I just sold a 89 f 250 4x4 with a 5 speed no turbo but was a fresh rebuilt 7.3 diesel in okay condition for 1700
6.9 are typically less worthy due to weaker heads and smaller bolts
never heard of a ranger with a diesel but pre 88 from the factor came with a 6.9 trucks typically got 17 to 25 i had a 86 non od with a c6 got me 24mpg pretty consistantly the truck i sold got around 17 until i pulled the exhuast off and staight piped then got 20 or better didn't drive it much though.
if it has an after market turbo because they didn't come with turbos tell 93 typically got less fuel mileage but had a almost double noticable horse power due to the adjustments thay went on in the fuel pump so 20 mpg add a turbo and some fuel 17mpg 18mpg but twice the horse power fair trade

Engine should be a Mitusbishi 2.3L, hope that helps. The older Rangers had a Perkins engine... I think 85 was the first year for the Mitsu motor.
