2010 California smog.

I received a letter from the California Air Resources Board offering me $500 to inspect my truck. Took the day off from work for CARB to check out my 2007.5 6.7 Cummins for an hour. When I got the truck back I asked why is California shelling out $500 just to look at a truck. He told me that CARB is preparing procedures for the upcoming 2010 diesel smog tests. He wasn't sure if they could work it all out by 2010 but he assured me that smogging diesels is a done deal. BTW, my truck is a special ordered single rear wheel one ton with a 10,100 GVWR.

Two buddies with Dmaxes have gotten pulled over, inspected and ticketed after seeing no cats, and intakes with no carb approved numbers.

I read that the program is supposed to smog diesels all the way back to 1995. So scoop up that '95 12v built in '94 if you want to play without punishment, I guess...

It is for 98 and later and vehicles under 8,501 GVW.
