NADM is proud to offer the 7th Annual DPM Diesel Shootout in conjunction with the Hayes American Muscle Meet at Atlanta Dragway. If you have never been, you need to be here. Great crowd!! There have been over 10,000 people come in the gate for the last two years.

Fans can expect most all of the big names on the east coast competing for over $7,000 in cash prizes.

Expect the AirWerks Unlimited Street class to have a heated battle for the points chase. Points leader Jeff Garmon will try to hold off Phil Taylor, Philip Palmer, and Kevin Meredith.

Expect the DP Tuner Quick Diesel class to have door handle to door handle racing. Points leader Matt wells will try to finish the season in front, but expect Joel Greathouse and Brian Buchanan to make it a difficult task.

The Hayes ET Bracket class has always been a large field. 6 racers are within striking distance of points leader Brian Buchanan.

Darren Morrison is scheduled to be here with his Pro Stock Diesel S-10, and the Scheid Motorsports dragster driven by Bo Lane will make another attempt at 200 mph, and possibly back up his 6 second pass he made at the NADM Competition Diesel.com Invitational. We hope more Pro level vehicles come join the fun.

Gates open Friday at 5PM, timed runs begin at 6pm - 11pm
Saturday - racer gate opens at 8AM - Spectator gate at 9AM.
Timed runs begin at 9:30AM and eliminations are scheduled for 2PM.

I am hearing hotels are getting full so get your rooms today.

Looks like the Unlimited Street class is going to be full tilt!!! :tree:

The AirWerks Unlimited Street class has TS Peformance, Garmon Diesel, Pro Street Diesel, Stuckey Racing, Cedar City Diesel, Phil Taylor, and Jimmy Dale Smith all planning on making the NADM 2008 Drag final a battle. :rockwoot:

Alas, the fuel bottle's level is to low to be brought out anymore, what little is left has been earmarked for winter time campfire consumption :D

I doubt I'll see 11.5 but, I hope to at least run quicker than with my 37's

You're already right on my tail with half the work done to your truck. My Sherman tank is game for anyone to beat. I think you and Billy Ram would be a good race. Same trucks, just about the same mods. You guys should try to line up together.

Dang Ty, with Stock wheels and Tires Vs. the 37's I'd lay money on an 11.50

Well, it would be cool to see. It concerns me though that if I do run that, the track won't let me run at all since I don't have the mods for that time.

I think I'll just TnT with them but, will run the 37's Sat.

Shoot!! You are the man Ty...The man with the bad a$$ truck!!

As for Billyram and I ...That would be decent but with his 66 vs my 62, plus his experience....Im not gonna hold my breath.....His best vs. my best is a long way off....Of course I haven't tried this Smarty yet either.....We'll see and I can't wait....=)

DavidTD

Also can we only race Friday night?

Absolutely not. Friday night is a open test and tune. Saturday you can choose between any of the NADM classes. Those would be The DPM Diesel ET Bracket class, the DP-Tuner Quick Diesel class, and the AirWerks Unlimited Street class. For those like like to fill the day with racing, you can also enter the gas classes. (TS does this every year):nos:

This year we will have some diesel specific vendors/sponsors too. Everyone go by and see:

Jody and Diane at DP-TUNER
Hal with SILVERLINE
Bill and Corey with POWER HUNGRY PERFORMANCE
Charlie with AIRDOG
Bill with Turbo Diesel Electric
Brandon with TURBO DIESEL REGISTER

Thanks from NADM to each of them for sponsoring this great event.:rockwoot:

yes, Sat morning. Hayes is the name of a dealer who owns several huge Chrysler/Mopar dealerships in GA. Probably one of the biggest dealers in the country

As some have said, the Hayes Family own Dodge and Chevy dealers. They have been putting this event on for over 25 years. This year instead of it having a Mopar image, it is more just muscle cars/trucks.

Yes, Dyno is Saturday only. :rockwoot:

I had a good time even though me and BillysGoat ran into a problem with retorqueing my stock bolts and I was hung over as F, but other than that I had fun. All the trucks that I watched go down the track looked good and Tim did a nice job annoucing as usual, but I never saw the tap dance show...I guess I left too early. LOL

Kevin and Tim thanks for the beers. Also, Kevin we need to go hotlap the barf-cart again at the next race. LOL

I'm gone, I got hoes and liquor waiting for me in downtown Athens....oh yeah Go Dawgs.
