Anyone know if there is someone out there making the down pipes for this truck? I'm talkin' 4" down pipes. I've got someone who could help us build one, but I will only persue it if there is a large enough need, and NO-One else is building these.

You think there is a demand for them? Why not? There may not be as much of a demand as far as say a 2004,5,6 trucks, but all you have to do is design one and save it in your system........ Now you want to talk about demands, Black Chrome Plated Stacks? or High-Heat Carbon Fiber Stacks? Come on now !!!:rules: :poke: LOL LOL

Jeff, if it were up to me, I'd would've found someone to black chrome our stacks.....since our plater does not do them. Seeing since the boss man here makes a TON of money off of class 7 and 8 trucks that is his main market. The pick up exhaust is really taking off for him, but he's still not convinced about MFG. black chrome stuff or carbon fiber. Now I would love to see that stuff, and see Grand Rock get into it, but I don't think it will happen.....:(

Screw all that noise....if we build one, it will be 4" all the way then. I hate it when the start off with a 4" pipe, then reduce it down for some reason.

I had to build My4" for back when I was running my single B-1 as no one made them because a first gen couldn't spool a B-1. HEHEHE I have built several for Hx40's on 1gens over the years, but My truck currently sports a full 5" off the Hx60, its just cooler. :)

I built my own with the help of a friend who had access to a mandrel bender. The flange came from stans headers as it was built heavier. It has a slide connection and stainless band clamp after the first bend. This way I can quickly switch to a hood exit stack! Clearance is good even with an WHIC hybrid or HX35W. I am not for sure but I believe it is the only 4" stainless steel downpipe on a first gen.
