Can someone shed some light on this subject for me? is it done in both the front and back tire, and does it increase forward pulling traction?

It is a way of adding weight. It used to b e very corrosive. You could tell if a tractor had calcium in the tires as usually there was rust around the valve stem.

my dad used to put antifreeze in the tires on the international 1086 we used to have.

calcium chloride is just weight.. tractors use it all the time if there bailers or rippers and such are way tounge heavy to keep steer tires down.... i don't know how it would work in a pulling truck due to speeds tires reach alot of rotational mass
