7.3 performance upgrades?

i have a 97 7.3 auto dump truck. im doing a rebuild on the engine and figured id give it some more power. what do u recomned? ive already planned on a down pipe and intake and maybe a chip...but which one? it pulls alot. also is there any cheap upgrades that can be done the the turbo ie waste gate i dont now much on how to get power of out of the 7.3 and injectors are too expensive for a work truck let me no

First, how many miles on truck? Get a set of gauges..Pyro, Boost, and tranny temp(if you have an auto). The intake next, exhaust, followed by a chip from Tony Wildman or Jody @ DP Tuner. Depending on miles, the best way to wake it up is with larger injectors but you'll need all that other stuff first. Good luck!

hey thanks... the truck has 120k what about a shift kit?...its an auto

you could do a shiftkit or a valve body that would definitely help
