Here is some of the activities:

“This will be a family-oriented, 3-day event which will include a monster truck show, as well as numerous other professional and amateur automotive competitions. We’re expecting close to 100,000 motorsports enthusiasts to attend the event over the course of three days.”

A street parade (dubbed the “Parade of Thunder”) will be held on Saturday as monster trucks and diesel trucks roll from the heart of downtown LaPorte en route to the Fairgrounds where close to 35,000 (daily) attendees are expected to be circulating the 150-acre fairgrounds facility.

Activities will include a monster truck show consisting over 16 monster trucks, including Bounty Hunter, Bigfoot, Sudden Impact, T-Maxx; a diesel truck-pull competition to be overseen by the National Association of Diesel Motorsports (NADM); a national tractor-pull competition to be overseen by the National Tractor Pullers Association (NTPA); and a national lawn mower racing event to be overseen by the United States Lawn Mower Racing Association (USLMRA).

A first ever competition between Hushpower’s Diesel Monster Truck and a blown alcohol monster truck to be seen on the main track. It should be an interesting dual – diesel vs alcohol?

Other competitions will include a mud bog to be overseen by the Central Mud-Racing Association (CMA), ATV mud racing, a truck burn-out contest, truck tug-of-war, truck “show & shine” tractor “show & shine” and ATV/lawn mower sled-pull.

Entertainment will include a jet-powered F-650 pick-up truck (Jet Car Motorsports), motorcycle dirt bike stunts (Team FMX East), monster truck rides and kid rides.

Speed TV’s Bill and Joey Gratzianna will act as grand marshals for both the opening parade and the entire 3-day event. The Gratziannas own and operate “O’Hare Towing”, a Chicago towing company whose daily operations are chronicled on Speed TV’s hit cable series, “Wrecked”. They will be placing their million-dollar tow truck, “The Mistress” on display at the Fairgrounds during the 3-day event.

A vehicle corral will offer attendees a chance to advertise their trucks, tractors, ATV’s, Quad’s, 3-wheelers, side-by-side’s, golf carts and lawn mowers. Nearby, a swap meet area will offer attendees a chance to buy, sell and swap unwanted 4x4 and tractor parts, supplies, etc.

Close to 250 vendors are expected at the event. Specific categories of vendors will include food, performance parts, suspension parts, wheel & tire, restoration parts, clothing, accessories, truck parts, jeep parts, tractor parts, ATV parts and collectibles.

Whew!!!!!!
