View Full Version : 5" exhaust troubles

need some tips on putting this 5 inch exhaust on i got the downpipe on and the piece after that and ran out of day light, the pipe is rubbing on the tranny crossmember and is pointing right at the rear shock i need some tips on how to get this thing on there good or even someone to give me a hand with it, thanks guys, also the last pipe has a hanger on it but there aint no hanger on my truck for it?

No lifted or levelled? This could be difficult. The guy that knows for sure is 24V Chevy. Drop him a PM.

Loosen up the bolts on the downpipe flange, it should give you some wiggle room. Get all the other stuff hung and then snug up all the bolts.

You want to leave everything loose and free till you get it all together then tighten her up!

thats what i did, plus the sleep and daylight helped alot too

yeah the 5" is tight in a few spots, but play with it and you can get it not to touch anything.
