Goof off

Hey guys i want to pull the chrome side molding of my GMC, i bought so goof off to take the adhesive off.. is goof off safe to use on the paint and clear coat?

dont do that. get a hair dryer.not a heatgun! a hair dryer.set it on high get it hot.stay in one place until the glue gets soft.use a small plastic bondo knife.this takes a wile stay in one place.sit on a bucket you will be there a long time.but this will work.i have done it myself.after you get it off.heat it again and rub with your finger to get the rest of the glue rez off.
