A guy I work with has a 05 duramax and the starter wore the teeth off the ring gear on the flex plate. He just got a new starter and flexlate installed and it still grinds when he goes to start it. Any ideas what would cause this?
The place that installed it told him the napa starter he bought won't engage enough and he needs a starter directly from GM.
