Well, last friday i was going down the road. Did not punch it or nothing and the truck quit accelerating. Didnt move at all in any gear or anything.
After taking everything apart, found out that I blew the center out of the FE!
So..... instead of going BACK to an FE, I am going to get a dual disk.

Question is... what kind of DD do yall recommend for my truck.?????

Mods are in sig. and there will be more and more!!! Dont know current hp yet but dyno day is next saturday!!!

I will be running at the track every time i get the chance so keep that in mind. AND MORE MODS WILL BE ON THE WAY!!!!!

WHAT DO YALL THINK I NEED TO GET TO HOLD UP TO THE BEAST????

with a dual disk you won't be able to shift as fast as you can in a single disk would think if your gonna drag race I would stick to a single one

I'd defiantly do the sprung hub...either the 3600 or 3850 should work. Are you planning on sled pulling? If you are, go heavier, like the 3850 or 4200 if it's available!

I would have done the sprung hub when I had my 3250 rebuilt, but Peter released it a month later:( :(

Well, the SPring Hub 3850 should be here thursday!!!!!!!!!

I went with the 3850 because i will be abusing it a little at the track and i have more plans for mods in the future. I hope it wont take too much longer to shift while going down the track.

This might be a dumb question as i either did not read it or did not see it but did you get a diffrent input shaft? Did you upgrade the gears and everything you could inside the tranny?

Peter at SouthBend threw in their $500+ input shaft ass. for free when i bought the 3850!

The gears in the tranny were in UNBELIEVABLY good condition.

I am not FULLY rebuilding the trans because i have made up my mind that if anything MAJOR were to happen to this tranny, then an auto would be going in.

But, hopefully this setup will last a LONG time though.
