Hey boys and girls

My friend just got nice 2004 Ram 2500, now after 2 weeks he needs more power.

Truck is : 2004 (made in 02.2004) Ram 2500,CR ,automatic 4wd, 6 inch lift and 35 inch wheels, quad -cab and long bed.

His target is 450-500 hp, for street fun only , no towing

My opinion is : engine controller with gauges (TST or Edge) and lock-up controller for tranny (ATS co pilot).

Is this OK setup?

What is the best setup?

What more is have to change to achive 500 hP?

All information is welcome?

I have basically the same truck.. I have a tst and an edge ez. I have a htbg2 turbo. i am somewhere around 500hp.. yea u would definitely need a co pilot, and a valve body to get the power to the ground.. dustin

Just like your 98, he'll need to build a tranny to hold it, but a TST and a turbo will net him above 425 alone. Member Billyram has almost the exact same truck with over 500HP, shoot him a PM and see what his mod list includes.

A tst and va3.1 along with a htb2 will get you 500 hp. It will also get some thing else too. Your tranny!!! The tranny will have to be up graded to hold much over stock hp.

A Buddy of mine runs TST stacked with TS MP8 and SBC clutch. Dynos 460hp on a Dynojet 248. I can not see why a built auto can not due the same.
