I agree, the GM CC has more room than the DC version...until you get a Mega. If you have not seen or been in a Mega, I suggest it. A "daily driver" @ 450 RWHP could last 1,000,000 miles...if you never punch it. What kind of HP are you looking for and how much are you willing to spend to keep it?

450 would be good enough for my daily driver Ive just always had chevys except the last three have been cummins the truck I have now has 250,000 on it and I was just wondering if that was a big deal for a dmax. Im not the nicest to things I drive my truck a little harder than most but my cummins doesnt care

..well, for 450 HP you "should" have

A lift pump with a filter

A built CP3

A SunCoast transmission (ok, I'm partial to SunCoast) ...A built trans with Converter.

A trans cooler from Mike L.

There are several boxes/systems to choose from for your wants. However, I would read as much as possible on this. Several power-adders work and can attain the power but they do not do it in a good way.

.......and a bit reserved. Heat is your main enemy. (IMHO) The Duramax can run all day long @ 1300 degrees EGT, 210 engine and 200 trans temp.

Just like your Dodge, hot rodding a cold drivetrain/engine is never good. Even worse is shutting down a hot system, mainly the turbo.

450, well, just a PPE Hot +2 or EFI Live and a lift pump, and a built tranny. If you keep them stock, merchant auto just rebuilt a dmax with 505,000 Miles.

Yeah, one of my customers is over 500,000. It's a hot shot truck and spend most it's miles towing. Realistically, they seem to need replacement at 300,000.

Truth be told, very few owners keep a vehicle more than 250,000 mi.

Hell Rich , I am a dinosaur now ! If Darwin had his way Id be a goner ! As for the Dmax it is like the 6 million dollar man . We will build it stronger ....faster .....better ..........
