Need some help please

This morning I went to pass someone and I felt a hard jerk and the truck lost power and woulndn't go into 5th gear and the CEL came on. After I got home I checked for codes and this is what I got.

P0700 Tran ctrl sys error
P0735 Gear five ratio error

I searched for the codes and found a list of them but what should I do, just clear them and see if they come back or is there something major that is now broken? Thanks for any info

You can clear them and see but you've most likely limped the trans since it's 5th gear.

i would just clear it and go. start saving for a tranny build though. and either back down the power or don't drive it so hard or both.

You most liely sent the tranny into limp mod. x2 on being ready for a tranny rebuild or back down the power. best of luck.

x2 on limp mode, back the tranny down in save it while you can. Start putting money up to build it buy one already built.
