97 350 Grille removal?

My dad has a 97 f350 xl with the black plastic grille. He bought a chrome replacement and asked me to put it on for him. However i cannot figure out how to get the 2 smaller head light trim pieces off? The bigger center peice is easy but the 2 side covers i have no clue?

Any advice??
