A friend of mine has an 05LLY that is losing coolant and has low oil pressure. He wants to swap in an 06LBZ in it's place.
What all would be involved with swapping engines?
Could I use the LLY ECM and wiring harness on the LBZ or will I have to change out the wiring harness.

So basically I'll have to use the LBZ harness, pin in the GMLAN, and use the LBZ 6sp allison and TCM?
So not very feasible on a budget.

not on a budget, no. The conversion is mostly for competition engines if I read right
