I have seen a couple variations of a cover for replacing the AFC housing in various posts

some stamped steel, a couple billet aluminum

seems this would be preferable than the empty afc housing sitting there

who makes them, and where does one buy one, and cost?

Jerrod Glover made mine.

It's a Bosch part but I don't have the number.

Why not use the stock AFC as an externally adjustable fuel stop?

Not sure on cost, because it came on the pump.

What pump is that? Is that the one with the bad cam that Jerrod bought from me?

I've done a few, modify the AFC as normal, plug the air reference, and use a longer M6x1.0 stud on the back of the diaphram to set the travel desired. You can move the AFC lever full forward to full rearward externally, the only other adjustment would be to keep the spring firmly contacting the lever, this costs very little in parts, just time.
