lockup switch and usage?

ive heard some people making their own and others buying premade ones. whos premade ones do yall use/recommend? when do yall use then? certain rpms? certain gears? just curious.

also, ive seen transmission spring kits and valve body kits. recommend? which one? which brand? i ask this becuase my truck just hit 60k, i was going to do the tranny filter.... while i was in ther i might as well do a lil upgrading.
