hi all,
i am changing out the a/c compressor.it is recommended that i change the drier and orfice tube to keep the warranty for the compressor.
how do i get the drier off ? i took off the so called clamps or keepers where the lines go into the drier.i just couldn't get the lines to come apart.

any thoughts??

The little clamps arent't really what holds the lines together. You need a release tool, which can be had at your local friendly auto parts store for 15 or 20 bux. The drier can be a pain because the joint for the line going to the evaporator is so close to a 90 degree bend. But it'll go with a little patience.

They are called either a/c clamps or ford fuel line clamp tools.
