Well, My last offer is pending approval from the manager at WestSide VW. Deposit is made.

Cars for Sale: 2006 Volkswagen Golf GLS TDI in Saint Louis Park, MN 55416: Hatchback Details - 287565966 - AutoTrader.com (http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=u&car_id=287565966&dealer_id=582559)

It's not going to cost 13,875 by any stretch.

So, if this goes though, the GF has a diesel, I have two, the volvo gets tossed in the dumpster. Now to figure out how to get the mower to run on diesel and I'll be all set.

The underside is clean. just a few tiny minor scratches that I think can actually be buffed out.

Ummm you suck. Yea thats what comes to mind. Nice car Its really to bad that they dont make a small SUV like the Ford Excape with a diesel in it. My wife lover her excape she just wishes she got the same gas millage as my little gocart (golf).

Edit: beside the 40k VW Tourage

The very first thing you need to do when you get the car home is pull the valve cover. Those motors love to eat cams. Colt Cams has a fixed cam for them. Basically they're ground as a solid lifter cam from the factory.

I'll be doing that when the intake is cleaned out.

I just blew my turbo on my 06 with dsg.. Kerma sent me nasty tune
They said it'd tear something up.
Shouldn't have to clean your intake on an 06 mine got filthy because of the heavy smoke I was rolling. The soot met oil..
Looking for egr delete and turbo upgrade..

vertical crank? :)

fwiw Hatz makes some vertical crank diesels for walk behind type mowers, incredibly expensive though.

I looked down the intake and it's sooted up.

Little oily too. But that's normal apparently

I'll get to that and a cam inspection in a few weeks. Truck needs attention.

You need a bigger garage. Also whats the main difference between the PD and the VE motors? Appears to be different fuel injection.

I'm not entirely sure yet the big differences.

Fuel system is the big one. Injectors are completely under the valve cover. I'm not even sure I know what the injector pump is. :) Same displacement but I believe stronger internals. Word has it you can make more power with the PD then the ALH before it starts sending rods out of the block.

There's no snow screen in this one... :) waste of time taking the battery out. :)

The EGR and ASV is going to be different to "delete"

Stock injectors go a long way on the of motors.. The Europe cars have pd150's be a nice upgrade.. A good tune can make it spin em through third, my problem being the dsg.

ALH, "stage 3" tune is maxing out the stock stuff. I need bigger hard parts.. it doesn't spin though any gears. :)
