Fuel Filter Head

Folks who have experienced the leaking grommet on the top of the fuel filter head:

Will the filter housing from the 12v engine work? I have a spare 12v, and the housing looks almost the same. It doesn't have the wires for a fuel heater at all. Just the supply from lift pump and supply to injection pump.

I would say try it. If you dont need the heater then dont worry about it.
