oil pressure up and down

I was driving home and noticed that my oil pressure was below 40 and when i came to a stop it went to 0. B4 i could turn it off it came back up to the 40 where it is all the time. Now lately it has been a little higher. when it came back up to 40 i was going and next thing i no it hits and stays at 75-80. It has been there a couple of times since I put on a silver bullet 66. I have checked the oil and no leaks. Is it the pump?
 
What have you done recently?

If it was mine I would drive it unless it sounded different like knocking and chit.

Maybe move the sensor wire around.

Or get a new sensor
 
Bad sending unit. Common problem. About $90 from cummins I think when I replaced mine a year ago.
 
I bought a new oil switch and b4 I put it on do I need to do anything? Or just unscrew the old one and put in the new one.
