FI 76mm 6.53@108 QCSB 06 - Suspension Setup
I had great results with my 76SXE but after 2 failures in very little time I decided to try a Forced Inductions 76/96 ETR. Best time with the SXE was 6.61@105. The FI unit went a best of 6.53@108.77 with a 1.59 60ft. The track had terrible prep as you can see by my 60ft even with Hoosiers.
What shocks are you guys having luck with? Im currently still on stockers front and rear. I was also thinking about pulling a leaf or 2 from the rear. The truck has Caltracs and once I get the shocks and springs figured out I'll play with them. Nice! I just ordered a set of Hoosier drag radials myself (325/45R18). What tire pressures are you running?
. |
I was playing with pressure all day and nothing helped at this track. 24/18 worked well last time.

afco or viking for shocks and i run 3 leafs in the rear.
|
Chris were running qa1 adjustables in the back and rancho single adjustables up front. Antrims will be the first chance we get to test them out.
|
Im ordered a set of Viking dual adjustable and dropped to 2 leaf springs per side. Hopefully this will allow the weight transfer I need.

Yes the track I will be at this weekend usually has good prep. I will have some tweaking to do with the rear suspension but am hoping for some 6.4 passes.

How does the turbo light up for you?
|
This, and what housing are you running? See more drag trucks running the 96 turbine as singles.
|
The turbo lit great when spooling up at the line and normal driving. Spooling from a roll took a good bit of RPM. I ran it with a 1.0 T4 housing. Without stripping the truck of weight I dont think it was enough for 9s. For that reason, I have since replaced the 76 with a 80ETR. The 80 will be paired with larger injectors. The truck is currently getting a roll cage installed. As soon as it is back I will be going to the track to see if I can get some 6.4 passes @110mph +. If the 80 doesnt perform better I will be ordering another 76!

Those are great times. Did the FI unit last better than the sxe chargers?
|
Congrats buddy, your truck runs good. Thanks for the info, let us know what it does with the 80.
|
Ryan the FI unit wasn't on long enough for a fair reliability comparison.
JasonC Thanks! I hope to have updated track times with the 80 / 350s in the next 3 weeks. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk |
I am between the same FI76 and a 476SXE. I talked to the guys at FI and they recommended the 87 wheel, what made you choose the 96 over the 87?
My 03 is fairly similar to yours, trying to step the injectors and turbo up in the next couple weeks. |

I highly recommend going FI over SXE. In my experience the FI has been more reliable and made more power. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk |

Also, did swapping to adjustable Viking shocks and 2 leafs end up helping your 60ft? Right now I run Fox shocks, Caltracs, and 3 leafs on 420s and my 60ft times are high, average about 1.75 with a best of 1.67. |

Boost/Drive 76sxe87 62/82 76sxe96 62/75 76ETR 70/82 I haven't had any time to make adjustments since installing the shocks. The truck is away getting a cage installed. The best I went with overloads out, drop shackles, caltracs, and 420s was 1.60. That same setup with hoosiers went 1.52 Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk |
