Lostnwalmart 04-02-2012 05:23 PM

Who cares a truck is a truck :poke:

SCHOOL BUS 04-02-2012 05:25 PM

The drever family racing truck has been 9.7's.

blackdieselram 04-02-2012 05:32 PM

Lol I know, I was just wondering.
The dreaver truck is the fastest I have been able to find. Do you know if its still street legal?

inline6power 04-02-2012 05:37 PM

jsf350 04-02-2012 08:53 PM

i thought drever was 9.3-4?

diesel_importer 04-02-2012 08:53 PM

The problem with asking this is sooooo many people have made threads like this before. It turns into: well I still have stock this, he has aftermarket that, they removed the seats, etc. etc.

David, your truck is bad@$$ and I've never seen a truck be that fast, without being a drawn out project. Don't worry about being the fastest quad cab. LOL

diesel_importer 04-02-2012 08:56 PM

The messed up part is, as I was typing that, I'm sitting here wondering what the fastest a full size diesel has been with a single 64 LOL

According to the "Top 50 Fastest Cummins thread"
Torrey 9.69
Dreaver 9.78
Drake 9.78

I know that Torrey's is still street legal as I drove it in the same configuration as it is in that video, on the street last summer.

It is not as much fun as it sounds, to drive it on the street that is. Before the chargers light it is very blah and you are really having to work the throttle so as not to block out the sun, once the chargers light it, all 4 tires squirm as they search for traction (2wd is just a smoke show) and you cover so much ground so quickly that you really need to plan in advance and not have any surprises. Never made it out to the hiway, but I think it would be a lot more fun out there, go pick on some vette's and vipers.

This. For sure.

If you guys want to really argue it, Dale Smith's truck has been 8.93. It's licensed, and insured in the state of Kentucky.

SCHOOL BUS 04-03-2012 10:04 AM

its a quad cab?

TravisG 04-03-2012 10:06 AM

Ewww, that's a good point. It's an extended cab. Carry on with this argument.

SCHOOL BUS 04-03-2012 10:11 AM

Extended cab second gen race truck. I doubt that thing passes inspection!! Lol, maybe they don't have that in Kentucky, I know Oklahoma doesn't.

The way I interpret this post was the op was curious how far a heavy street legal quad cab has been pushed to see if its worth time and money trying with his. Don't think hes ready to brag about records. But that's just me.
